Erewash Rotary fund two school wellbeing libraries and visit Wilsthorpe School

A visit to Wilsthorpe school to see the wellbeing library

From Erewash Rotary Club:

Last year, members heard a deeply personal and inspiring talk from Joanna Garvey about the work of The Will Garvey Trust Foundation. Set up in the wake of her son’s suicide, Joanna wanted to support young people experiencing mental health issues through libraries of resources based in schools. Our members agreed to fund two libraries at a cost of £1,700 each at Wilsthorpe School and Long Eaton School. Today Past President, Tanya Flint and Chair of Trustees, Paul Burrows visited Wilsthorpe School to see first hand the resources in action. Accompanied by Joanna, we met some of the Year 11 students who explained what a difference the library would make.
