Candles at the crossroads – remembering those lost to suicide

Suicide Prevention Day (10th September) – remembering those lost to suicide

From Jo Garvey:

On a very soggy Suicide Prevention Day (#SuicidePreventionDay), a handful of us met for Candles at the Crossroads, where we remembered and honoured Will and those we’ve lost to suicide.

We lit candles, wrote messages, and read poems to remember those we’ve lost to suicide and to remember that there is light to be found in the dark.

As Will’s mum, I thought it was a beautiful event. As CEO of WTF, I thought it was an impressive show of solidarity with others bereaved by suicide, of our determination not to hide behind the stigma, and of our resolve to literally be the shining light of hope in the darkness.
