Who we are

The Will Garvey Trust Foundation (WTF) exists because Will Garvey chose to take his own life aged 20. We are here because we believe that no-one else should experience suicide or the loss of a loved one to suicide. That is our purpose.

Will’s story is here for you to read in more detail.

His journey has inspired us to take action as we drive to make a difference and enable young people to choose a different path. The outcome that we seek is that our local ‘talking’ communities are suicide safe.  We explain more about this and our purpose in – Why we are here.

Our purpose ultimately drives each of our initiatives but those initiatives need more context to understand how they contribute. So we want to share with you our goals that derive from our purpose; goals that we believe can have an impact on enabling young people to choose a different path and so contribute to making our ‘talking communities’ suicide safe. These goals give us focus and they therefore determine what we do. Each initiative we undertake and its associated actions and activities all therefore support those goals.

We formed this charitable trust to raise funds to be able to undertake the initiatives necessary to achieve our purpose and our goals. You can view our officers, trustees, ambassadors, mentors and champions and the various committee members for our charity who all have this focus in – Our team
