WTF ‘Volunteer induction’ event held at Nutbrook Cricket Club

Third WTF Volunteer Induction event held at Nutbrook Cricket Club

In November, WTF delivered its third Volunteer Induction at the Nutbrook Cricket Club . 11 attendees took part in activities that helped develop their understanding of safeguarding, mental health, and the charity’s mission, amongst other things. Thanks to Kev for the fantastic lunch.

The Volunteer Training Day is a great opportunity to explore what volunteering means and how it can benefit not only us as a charity, but you as an individual. The benefits are huge not least because of the positive impact volunteering has on our own mental health.

It’s also a great opportunity to explore your own skills and experience and to work out how you can use them best to help others.

It is really encouraging to see these volunteers getting involved and adding to what is a growing band of warriors fighting to improve outcomes for our local young people.

There are lots of opportunities in a small charity like WTF so if you would like to get involved have a look at the ‘Volunteering’ Section on the website and get in touch.
