Nottingham Panthers chose WTF as Charity of the Month. We are honoured. Thank you!
The Nottingham Panthers chose WTF as their Charity of the Month for December and we were honoured to be part of the Christmas celebrations down at the Nottingham Arena. We had carol singers serenading us one night and enjoyed the many Santas and elves that seemed to really enjoy ice hockey. We were really lucky to have been donated a Nottingham Panthers shirt that we raffled off over the 5 games during the month. We were even luckier that the team kindly signed the shirt making it even more special. We drew the raffle on New Year’s Eve and the lucky winner, who was at the game, was absolutely thrilled to take home her signed shirt. WTF attended all 5 games in December, including the first game at Nottingham against the Sheffield Steelers since Adam Johnson’s sudden death: an emotional and memorable event.
Thanks to Nottingham Panthers for choosing us in the first place and to all the volunteers who gave up their time to sell raffle tickets and talk to ice hockey fans from all over the country about WTF and its mission. And we raised £720 – what a great result for WTF!
