Leeds University American Football Doing it in the Name of “Our 45”

It’s a new year and the boys from LUUAF are back with another fundraiser.  We support them wholeheartedly. You can too – a link to donate is at the bottom of this post.  This is what they told us.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably, otherwise known as CALM, is an organisation working to prevent suicide and raise awareness for mental health. They do a great job providing support to people suffering from mental health issues. We as a society admire the work they do as a charity and want to do as much as we can to help support them. We have a close relationship with CALM as a few years ago a former team mate sadly took his own life. To honour him the club retired his jersey, number 45.

To support the CALM and to honour our former team mate, the boys will be taking part in the 45for45 challenge where they will run 45k over the month of January.

We want to raise as much awareness for men’s mental health as we can. If you want to support our boys then you can donate via the link bellow, all money raised will go to CALM.

We wish our boys good luck with this challenge and are proud to support CALM and let everyone know that #itsokaynottobeokay
