It’s rewarding to get involved with WTF. Here’s our story – Helen & Wayne

We became involved in the Will Garvey Trust Foundation events committee after attending a number of local events.

Having teenage children at the time, we were aware of the pressures young people face in today’s world and we wanted to do more in our local community to support this.

The events are varied, including quizzes, Willfest & the Winter Ball. COVID has definitely meant we have had to think differently as an events team but this has been fun finding new ways to raise money & getting the message out there.

Arranging the Virtual Winter Ball was hard work but also great fun and seeing all the Zoom attendees dressed up and having a fabulous evening made it all worthwhile !

Being part of the Trust has been so rewarding. It has helped us understand so much more about mental health and well-being. We’ve even been able to sign post friends who have needed support during the past few months.

Why not get involved?
