WTF relish opportunities like this to get out into our communities
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting a pop-up event at Derby’s @forbiddenplanetderby
Over the last few months, we have been racking our brains to think of more ways that we can be present within the community around different demographics who fit within our target age range but are often overlooked. Our events committee decided that hosting popups in young people focused areas was a really good way to start.
Forbidden Planet is a safe place for a lot of people, especially for those who feel like they don’t fit in the ‘norm’. It is an inclusive and accepting space, and with the company opening a new branch within Derby, we thought this was the perfect place to be present and spread our message.
While there, we were able to have a lot of conversations, give out a lot of resources, and make a lot of people’s day better.
We are really looking forward to seeing the relationship we can build with Forbidden Planet and we are happy to announce that we already have another popup planned for October so keep your eyes peeled!
