A wonderful Winter Ball to celebrate Will and the WTF and its achievements
Oh what a night on the 1st of February! Our third Winter Ball. A packed out room, in Marriott Breadsall Priory’s Pavilion Suite, delicious 3 course meal, games to play, competitions to win, spot prizes, a wonderful raffle and to finish it all off, a DJ whose music filled the dance floor late into the night. And we raised £3500 for the charity !
Again the tables were decorated befitting to Will’s love of Glastonbury. They have never seen so many wellingtons in The Pavillion Suite before !
Super speeches and updates from the Chair, Jodie and both, Joanna and Kevan, Will’s parents, gave everyone such a good feeling about the purpose and progress of the Will Garvey Trust Foundation. Plenty to do but goodness, plenty achieved already!
And after an excellent three course meal, everyone was either deep in conversation or strutting their stuff on the dancefloor.

As a reminder: Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel, is the perfect choice to hold the Ball: Will had worked there since he was just 16, mostly in the restaurant and then later in the bar. He loved it there and made some great friends. It’s also where Will’s dad worked before Will was born, and where Will’s parents held their wedding reception, in the very same Pavilion Suite. There is now a plaque in the staff room and flowers are placed there every year on Will’s anniversary. It has a special place in Garvey hearts.
