1000 followers on Instagram and growing……

WTF’s Instagram presence is increasing…

By Hadley Trueman

At the AGM in April of 2023, the first WTF meeting that I have attended, it was announced that the social media channels were slowly growing and the Instagram page had just reached 200 followers! After countless hours of effort and dedication inputted into creative and informative posts by Freya and myself I can now announce that in June of this year we reached the milestone of 1000 followers.

After covering the last 12 months via Instagram we have collaborated with footballer Harry Toffolo, Nottingham Panthers, Bird & Blend Tea Co., Dru with Ju Yoga, Friends of Bennerley Viaduct and Kev the Dentist on various stories, reels and permanent posts in which we have seen numerous people from different backgrounds begin to associate with us in the digital realm through resharing and following.

In a world of bots and AI generated accounts, we have been carefully checking the interactions of our new followers and tracking the engagement with our online services. The page has grown rapidly with Freya joining in with global hashtag posts during suicide prevention day, mental health awareness week and pride month, local people and other health-based organisations are now aware of us, which is our aim. I have been using the space as a marketing tool for the 45 club events that happen twice monthly, with plenty of interaction from new faces joining the wellbeing activities, they now regularly keep up to date with WTF on Instagram.

There is no exact aim just yet for another numerical milestone but we hope the progress and interactions stay consistent…
